Finding Peace... Hey this is the Chaplain again. I don’t - TopicsExpress

Finding Peace... Hey this is the Chaplain again. I don’t know what your week has been like – but mine has been hectic; which is not that unusual. The world that we live in is becoming more and more chaotic. Many folks are overwhelmed by the situations in their lives. A few days ago someone said to me, ‘I just want some peace.’ I understand what they mean. The problem is that all too often we look for peace in all the wrong places. Peace is not a pill. Peace is not an escape. Peace is a person – one person. His name is Jesus. In the Bible we’re told that “Christ Himself is our peace.” (Eph. 2:14) Know Christ = Know Peace. No Christ = No Peace. In that same section of scripture it says “Before you believed in Christ, you were separated from Him . . . You were without hope and without God in the world.” (Eph. 2:12) That sounds like so many people that I meet, ‘without hope and without God…’ My question for you is, in the midst of the storms in your life, do you know Christ? Do you belong to Him? Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? I don’t care whether or not you have a Religion – I want to know if you have a Relationship. If you don’t know Him this will sound incredible but - you can have a personal relationship with the God of the universe. But that only comes thru His son, Jesus Christ. Jesus told us “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to God except thru me.” (John 14:16) Has there ever been a day that youve began a relationship with Him? If not, why not do that today. Maybe that’s something for you to pray about. If you’d like to talk to someone about spiritual things, you can call Chaplain Paul at (479) 264-6146, or email: chaplain.northcut@gmail . I’d love to talk and pray with you, anytime. May the Lord, Jesus Christ, draw you always closer to Himself.
