Finished CRACKED UP TO BE by Courtney Summers on the flight to Boston last night. This is ... to be perfectly honest, a depressing, disturbing book. But thats just the kind of story I love. Something honest, something authentic, and something that makes me FEEL something. In that way, its brilliant, and incredibly well written. Highly recommended. Already halfway through BLEED LIKE ME, by Christa Desir, which is actually kind of similar so far, interestingly enough. Best lines so far? Brookss voice wrapped around me like a scarf, and something inside my stomach flipped. I flattened myself facedown on the worn-out quilt Mom had sewn for me when I was born, before she gave up sewing to patch together boys instead.
