Finished my Art of Silence course with Sri Sri Ravishankar. This was my first encounter with him. My strong belief in scientific methodology and analytical reasoning has taught me to be skeptical of any claims. Naturally, I have kept the spiritual gurus at arms length. I started taking courses with the Art of Living foundation since 2008. These courses and the daily practice has benefited me in multiple ways - sharper focus, greater tranquility and mindfulness. However, I was little apprehensive about meeting with a spiritual guru. But, after observing him up close, I must say he is an adorable character. A person of high intellect, quick wit and deep empathy. Well versed in Science, he can explain Vedic literature and can corroborate it with the latest findings in quantum mechanics. I must say, I am impressed and have developed a deep respect for him. But, I will not surrender my belief in scientific methodology and will keep maintaining a questioning mind.
