Finished my practicum hours (volunteer hours) for school. I work nights at my rehab but have been volunteering during the day and on my days off so I could get the 300 hours I needed to become a counselor. My last day of school (for my counseling certificate) is tomorrow. Wednesday I will send my paperwork to Austin and not long after that, they will post my name online as being a certified counselor intern. One major goal that I have been working towards for 2 and a half years has been reached. The next goals are; to receive a counseling position at the rehab I currently work at and to pass the LCDC (licensed chemical dependency counselor) exam.
