First Heathen Church Of The Condemned Would you consider - TopicsExpress

First Heathen Church Of The Condemned Would you consider attending a church with the above name on their sign? Would you recommend it to a friend? Would you try to convince friends and loved ones that they should remain with, or, leave this church? Would you buy things at a yard sale that was for the purpose of funding this church? How about the church thrift store? Car wash? Bake sale? Please understand that while this church teaches a damnable doctrine it is known for its many good works. Many a well has been dug in other countries by this organization to provide life giving water. Food and shelter have been provided for the homeless and less fortunate. Starving children in foreign countries are alive because of the efforts of this church. And it is all done, according to their doctrine, in the name of the Lord. Now that we know that they are sincere in their desire to bring glory to the Lord, will you become part of that church? Would you now recommend it to a friend or loved one? Would you now buy things at their yard sale, thrift store, bake sale, or patronize their car wash? Would you put money in their pot as you enter the store? After all, how could it be wrong? Look at all the good things that are being accomplished to bring glory to God. What is the one factor that keeps you and your support away from this organization? You know that all members of that church will be condemned to Hell if they do not repent of their error. They even admit their lost condition by the church name. It does not matter how many good works they perform in the Lords name. Good works will not change their doctrine from impure to pure. That which is false is always false no matter how much good is performed to give it credibility. But what if the church does not acknowledge that they are condemned? What if they sincerely believe they are doing what is right according to the Bible and are performing good in the name of the Lord? Does the name of the church guarantee salvation for its members? Does sincerity guarantee salvation? Of course not! Brethren, you can insert the name of any denomination in this writings title and everything that has been written concerning The First Heathen Church Of the Condemned will still apply. By definition, “denomination” means more than one. There is only one New Testament church (Mat. 16:18; Eph. 1:22-23; Eph. 4:5). That being said: will you patronize the denominational churchs yard sale, thrift store, bake sale, car wash, or put money in their kettle? The money may be going to do good works, but their doctrine is sending people to Hell. The Lord dealt with this principal in His sermon on the mount. He said, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” (Mat. 7:22-23). What is the answer? “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Mat. 7:21). - Tim Kidwell
