First Service at PICC, Lilongwe, 17 August 2014 Speaker: Pastor Margaret Kananza Topic: Mastering the Basics of Faith Passage: Hebrews 11:1-2 Faith means putting your confidence in God Features of Faith a) Faith is a spiritual thing. Its basics are in God - Hebrews 12:2 The foundation of faith is Jesus Christ. Faith has its roots in Christ Isaiah 46:10 Faith is declaring the end from the beginning. God has already calculated your end. God has already gone into your future and what He has ordained for you shall come to pass The things that God has spoken concerning you shall surely come pass. b) Faith is given as a seed. Every one has faith. It is in your heart - Romans 12:3. God has given you the seed of faith by which you can bring into manifestation the great things God has ordained for you. Read Matthew 17:20 Therefore, be fully persuaded in your heart that God has spoken concerning will come to pass. Nobody and nothing will stop you. Genesis 1:28; 9:1 God has put in you the ability and potential to multiply and be fruitful. This ability is resident in you. Genesis 8:22 Seed time and harvest will not cease. Therefore, the seed of faith in you will surely bring the harvest of great things God has ordained for you. Use your seed of faith to challenge and handle your situations. Salvation has connected you to God who is the source of faith. Thus, you have a constant supply of faith from God. Whatever idea you have is possible, you can do it because of your faith connection. I decree that you shall not die before you attain your God ordained destiny. Galatians 5:22-23 Ephesians 2:8 Why is Faith Important? a) With it we please God - Hebrews 11:6. How do you please God with faith? *you believe in Gods existence.Our lives should reflect that God exists. *you believe in Gods rewards. If you have been serving God in time and money and it looks like nothing good is coming out, please hold on, God will bring rewards to you. God is not an exploiter of man but a rewarded. So, whatever you are doing to the glory of God will be rewarded. How to increase your faith a) know what you are believing for. A man cannot believe what he doesnt know. Romans 10:14; John 6:63. Knowing: *know the word of God *know the God you serve You are blessed. Amen!!!
