First, if youre a younger-type individual and never caught this - TopicsExpress

First, if youre a younger-type individual and never caught this tune somewhere (or have been living under a rock) - dont look at the link and think Ive lost my mind. I can see how that might run through ones head...but... Many, many moons ago (before the interwebs bestowed GOOGLE upon us) I asked Tommy Tedesco if hed played the solos on this tune as I couldnt imagine who else it might have been. He seemed rather pleased I had considered him the man behind the pick...but twerent so...apparently it was some cat named Louie Shelton (although I didnt recall the name Mr. Tedesco laid upon me until I made use of aforesaid Google). Anyway...there are two solos in the piece. While both are quality, I really like the 2nd outro riffs. Consider that in 67, some Monkees producer thought laying down a flamenco track on a single was a good idea. Well...yeah, it *was* a good idea. Other than a very short riff on the Beatles White Album, I cant think of anything in the period (in the Pop category, of course) that had anything like the same flavor. Monkees lip-sync/guitar included for comedic value. Outro starts around 2:08. The other solo is worth a listen as well: https://youtube/watch?v=QWTa9CE51sA
