First lens im shooting for in the upcoming future; the Nikon 85mm F/1.8. But i have to ask myself, why not the F/1.4? Whats the difference? Why does one cost more? If i know that i cant afford the more expensive one, then what do i get/dont get by purchasing the F/1.8? The answer.... RESEARCH! Check out Youtube, type in the object of your interest, and watch multiple videos. Go to the Nikon USA website. Check out reviews from other outlets. The point that im expressing here, is that we need to learn to educate ourselves SO MUCH. Its good that we can come together in a forum. But the problem sometimes in asking about what we are looking for FIRST, is that value is given to what OTHERS are saying about it first, rather than finding out first what THE PERSONAL NEED IS FIRST. Try it out. Research a piece of equipment youre interested in. EDUCATE YOURSELF first, THEN ask about it in the group. See if the quality of the answers you get wont be a bit........... informative. :).
