First of all, thanks for all the messages and calls of concern.decided to put the story on Facebook to let friends and family know what is going on with Steve. After a routine visit to the dr for a check on his blood (takes blood thinner) and reporting some other symptoms to Raydeen,she sent him to hospital for CAT scan of his lungs. It showed multiple small blood clots in his lungs. That was Wed. On Thursday she sent him to Creston for ultrasound on his legs to make sure he had no big clots that could move to his heart or lungs. No clots there. On Friday she was very assertive in getting him into a vascular dr. In DM. He immediately sent us to downtown Mercy Hospital. Where he had a procedure to put in a filter through his groin vessel to stop any big clots from going to his heart or lungs. We got home last night at11:30. Next week he will see a pulmonary spec. and oncologist/hematologist and hopefully we will find out why the blood clots are there when he is on blood thinning. Meds. We are so thankful we have Raydeen looking after us. Actually he feels good except these hot days really bother him. Let u know more when I know more.
