First of eighteen Roses take to the stage in the Dome with host, Dáithí Ó Sé tonight. The remainder of Roses will join Daithi tomorrow night, when the winner of the the Rose of Tralee will be crowned. Last year saw Luxembourg Rose Nicola McEvoy, was crowned as the 54th Rose of Tralee. Tonight will also see the Newbridge Silverware Escort of the Year announced. One of the Roses taking to the stage tonight is Ottowa Rose, Keira Kilmartin. Speaking on Kerry Today, she revealed that she won’t be returning to Canada after the Festival. Perth Rose and Cork native Jean O Riordan has been living in Australia for two years. She says if the opportunity arose, she would love to move home.
