Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. While his most famous speech is I Have a Dream, I am equally inspired by the last speech he gave. On April 3, 1968 in Memphis, TN, Dr. King proclaimed that, despite the numerous threats to his life, his desire was to do Gods will no matter the cost. It was almost as if his final message was a reminder that life on earth is not the end; it was simply a pit stop. The next day he was assassinated. When your world feels like it is crashing down around you, remember these words, focus your eyes on Jesus, and allow Him to lead you to the Promised Land in His time. Happy MLK Day
