First there were pink and now there are white lines on our roads- what does this mean? Gary Niblock of the NOPOC steering committee once again is on top of the situation and contacted Brandon Liddell, PG&E Project Manager for the SC115Kv project. The pink lines are survey markings for under-grounding the electrical lines and the white lines are survey marks for existing infrastructure, primarily water lines. A new crew of engineers will be out looking at exactly what it will take to underground the lines. They will consider many aspects such as: right of ways, room for lines to fit in with the current infrastructure, cost vs. overhead lines, etc. The information being gathered is to determine if under-grounding is feasible or even possible.
