Firstly I would like to say that it was a please to finally meet some of you who live in and around St Leonards Rd and even though it has only been a few hours there has been a great response on Facebook to the objection of the development of 45 new houses on greenbelt land in St Leonards Rd and hopefully by the time decisions are to be made we will have enough support to show that we who reside in Nazeing are the kind of people that care about the area we live in. As echoed by some of you, most of us decided to live in the countryside purely because it is countryside and we want it to remain that way. I have nothing against larger towns and citys and I would imagine that those who like living in that kind of environment would not mind so much when a few extra houses are built here and there around their particular area, but as for myself I prefer small character villages to remain small and quint and picturesque with beautiful country views. Ok Nazeing is a little more than a small hamlet village but although I have not lived here very long to me it still has a small village charm to it, because you do not have to walk very far before you are surrounded by nothing but countryside. If we allow greenbelt development now without making a fuss where will it stop? We have an obligation, like it or not to stop this now. before County Councils, and elected Governments use this kind of situation to create a precedence and then there will be no stopping them. This is what I and I hope many of you will be making an effort to preserve. if we act sooner rather than later and show that we in Nazeing are prepared to stick up for what we believe in then we might have a good chance to nip these kind of Greenbelt developments in the bud, P/S I only found out yesterday from word of mouth about another proposed site behind Little Cutlands just off of St Leonards Rd, but have no information.
