Fishing for Freedom is a 5th District sponsored event for service related injured and Gold Star Families. It is a full day of family fishing and fun at Lake Ramona in Hiram. The American Legion furnishes fishing rods, reels, tackle and bait as well as lunch for attendees. This years Fishing for Freedom Event is only 6 weeks away on May 3rd. The F4F committee has moved to open the event up for any veteran with service related injuries. We need the support of the 5th district. We have enough money in the account to fund this years event, but it will leave the account seriously depleted for next years event if we dont get contributions. Please consider a contribution from all the segments of the Legion family, as well as, corporate and individual. Fifty dollars covers the cost of a veteran and his/her family. Please pass the word to any veteran you know that has service related injuries that they are welcome to come and enjoy a day of fishing and socializing.
