Five teenagers have been arrested over the alleged assault and robbery of two men in Pyrmont early this morning. About 1:30am, Wednesday 29 October 2014, two men, aged 20 and 24, were walking across Pyrmont Bridge when they were allegedly assaulted and robbed of their wallets by a group of males. Police from Sydney City Local Area Command were patrolling the area at the time and chased the group. Five males, aged between 15 and 18 years old, were arrested by police and taken to Day Street Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries. Paramedics attended the scene and treated the two injured men before taking them to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The 20-year-old man is being treated for a suspected fractured eye socket while his older friend is being treated for facial injuries. Investigations into the matter are continuing.
