Eric Holder is the offensive one and should be replaced with someone who respects the constitution. Now. Do you agree that Eric Holder is a disgrace to America? Mr. T I pity the fool. DISGRACE: Eric Holder Commands “Redskins” to Change Their Name As the first African-American Attorney General working for the first African-American president, Eric Holder unquestionable enjoys a unique position in this nation’s history. Although even the most patriotic American must admit to the nation’s uneven past with regard to racial equality, Holder’s story is and should be an inspiring one of America’s freedom, opportunity, and accomplishment. Instead, Holder, along with distinguished leftists such as Harry Reid and President Obama himself, uses his position to focus attention on the allegedly “offensive” name of the Washington Redskins NFL team. As has been well-established, the term “redskin” was coined by Native Americans themselves as a useful collective term during negotiating with the American government, and has no racial implications. This helps explain why although 83% of Americans overall support the Redskins name, support rises to 90% when only Native Americans are polled. In addition, the Redskins logo was designed by Native Americans. Holder is either ignorant of the history of the team’s name and logo or willing to disregard that history in the name of leftist demagoguery–or, more likely, both. From Breitbart: “I think the name ought to be changed,” Holder said on ABC’s This Week. “I think it is an offensive name. And the Redskins are … a team with a storied history that has huge amounts of support in Washington, D.C. And I think in the 21st Century, they could increase their fan base, increase their level of support if they did something that is so, from my perspective, so obviously right.” In a split decision, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Appeal Board recently stripped the Redskins of its trademark, and the Redskins immediately appealed that ruling. Democrats in Congress have written NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to force a name change. And President Barack Obama even chimed in, saying that if he owned the Redskins he would have to consider changing the team’s name. In addition to Holder, this story also speaks volumes about the mainstream media. America is in the midst of an illegal immigration crisis of untold proportions, the IRS is under congressional investigation for abuse of power, and the president’s policies have been struck down multiple times by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional. But what does ABC ask Holder about? The name of the Washington NFL franchise. It’s almost as if the media is no longer even trying to hide the fact that they have become little more than water carriers for this administration.
