Flower bed had been buried in about five years of leaves and straw never moved, and today I uncovered it... a few plants are still there. It went by the wayside that long because I had gall bladder surgery and other illnesses , then I spent the summer of 2012 barely able to walk, so it is really good to get back to doing a little outside. It had yarrow, lilies, lavender, creeping phlox, chrysanthemums, lantana, rose campion, liriope and one Rose of Sharon...most of them are alive! Nothing grows well there, and now it has some of the powdered rock in it that came from the well they drilled, so it probably wont grow anything much. In the other photo - I have my living room window back! On Sunday Russell took out the old dead AC unit, so now I can see out the window a lot more. Now Ive got to do something pretty out there since Ill be seeing it all the time!
