Folks, I heard that the CAA offered some direction on the unsafe use surrounding the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in Trinidad and Tobago. Some of you may have heard about one of these remote controlled quad copters falling onto patrons at an event at NAPA. These systems ranges from toys to very expensive commercially operated systems. Can anyone confirm whats the position of the TTCAA on this. And also what are some of the opinions by pilots on this. Keep in mind, there are no regulations surrounding the importation of these devices and as such there is no way to track who a device belongs to in case there is an accident. As pilots we ought to be concerned if there is a potential device operating in the airspace that cannot be properly separated by Piarco. So from that point of view I am making this post here.
