Food tasting at Pentre Mawr. Nick Grimes Tutor Chef at Llandrillo College entertained us with his monthly cooking demonstration. This evening he cooked, Sweet Potato and Chilly patties,(lovely with cold meats and pickles on Boxing Day). Queen of Puddings (to die for). He demonstrated simple nutritious and inexpensive cooking. We have all tried to follow his example. As you can see a residents granddaughter was his assistant this evening. She will be starting cooking lessons at school after Xmas, looks like she will get a head start. Mince pies and coffee to round it all up. A very big thank you to Nick for his voluntary demonstrations, he is of course a big favourite with the residents. The residents deserve a well earned rest from all the festive eating and celebrating. I wish them all a Very Happy Xmas and a wonderful New Year.
