For 11 yrs i have struggled with acid reflux....2 yrs ago i had a stomach operation to help control it..... still need nexium (11yrs now)......GOOD NEWS: this combo now works and i can sing / acid under control......HOWEVER, what i finally saw today for the first time were my LINGUAL TONSILS. I NEVER KNEW i had them!!! I had my palantine tonsils removed at 2yrs old. however, i still have these things way behind the base of my tongue.THAT is what bothered me for 2 yrs from acid hitting them ( i thought i had cancer of the throat) and now they are sensitive to spicy foods etc......i can cough uncontrollably at times. im just happy i finally know what is going on down there...saw the video today as they scoped me at the ENTs office. As a singer, the throat is such a delicate area... apparently we are all born with 3 sets of tonsils..pharyngeal, palantine and lingual..hmmmmm...who knew?
