For 2014, I am privileged to have been asked by Susan G. Komen to participate in all seven 3-Day Opening and Closing Ceremonies, along with Nicole Nardoni-Hercules. There are no words to fully express my gratitude for this opportunity and to experience the opening and closing throughout the 3-Day season from this unique perspective. To share moments with each citys eight flag bearing survivors and to see a sea of pink as the walkers, crew and supporters blend as one from the view from the stage is something I will never forget. Our special community is like the sea of pink, as it is composed of individuals coming together as a community with a single focus, to find a cure for breast cancer, to help those affected by this deadly disease. We will NOT give up until a cure is found. We will continue to walk until victory is ours. My grateful thanks to all who support this cause through their donations, their unending encouragement to all of us, through their thoughts and their prayers.
