For Easter my family will head to Forest Lawn to spend the day Jayson and each other. I remember when Jayson was first diagnosed it was just before Easter and he was 9 years old. He was concerned that the Easter Bunny wouldnt be able to find him because he was inpatient so he asked us to email the Easter Bunny which we did. We gave the Easter Bunny the address of the hospital and Jaysons room number. Of course the Easter bunny found him and made it to the hospital before Jayson woke up and Jayson got to search his room for his basket. We didnt realize that the Easter Bunny would bring several baskets that day. He was so spoiled that day. One of the gifts he received was Flarp. Actually every child on the oncology floor received flarp and when you walked down the hallways all you could hear was fart noises. Jayson got a huge kick out of that. Every time a nurse would come in he would press his fingers into the flarp container and he would laugh and laugh. He was so innocent. At that point he still had all the wonder and excitement of a 9 year old boy. He wasnt even sick of the hospital yet. I miss those days. I miss him. I hate spending another holiday without him but we will make the best of it.
