For Frans: Hi all, after a crazy weekend of sifting through some admin/legal/healthcare issues for Frans and his Fiancé, we were finally able to sit down today and get some advice on the practical elements of a fund to get them both back on their feet. This fund will be our first and most likely mechanism to help them out, as we have been informed that the complexities and hurdles of the legal actions in process may take a VERY long time to see out (with ludicrously poor odds in their favour anyway). It would seem that the most legally clean way to administer the fund process would be to run it through our club account – an account available for public scrutiny and hence very transparent. The question about how much/or little is needed has plagued me since the crash. Im not able to calculate the value of what it’s like to lose less than nothing, and what “enough” ultimately is. I suspect a lengthy down time, rehabilitation process, and asset recuperation will mean that anything, even if it is a lot, will never be as much as we could offer ourselves if the tables were turned.
