For Jesse and anyone else who will get something out of this. Jerk Recoveries 1X2X107.05kg/236lb 1X2X135.625kg/299lb Such a good exercise for many reasons. Teaches you to push off that back foot. Gives you time under tension with more weight than you can Jerk which will make you more secure/solid recovering from a Jerk. Helps you develop balanced left to right strength and coordination. Much like a Deadlift, since there is no lowering before raising like on a Squat or Bench you will learn to be precise coming up out of the bottom position. You could make this harder by not just squatting down like I did when finished but rather you could reverse the steps back down to how you started. You could also just straighten the legs to lift the weight and opt not to move the feet doing reps that way. This would be the same as the difference between Lunges and Split Squats. I would appreciate input from Romney, Jim, Paul, Frankie, Taylor, what their thoughts on this movement are. I set the bar at nose height while standing. This was a bit too low. Bar at eye/eyebrow level probably wouldve worked better. I think this could be a great exercise to get you to that 300!! BTW, Quads, Groin and Glutes are at maximum SWOLE!! It will require some patience, it IS worth it!!
