For Kari VanBeek (CCA 3rd grade teacher): Karis maternal grandfather, Howard Postema, unexpectedly passed away today. Kari has been looking forward to a visit from her grandparents here in Texas next week. Instead, she will be traveling to Iowa to celebrate her grandfathers life and mourn his loss with her family. This is the 2nd trip this year that Kari has made to Iowa for a grandparents funeral. Karis paternal grandmother went home to be with Jesus earlier this year. Pray for Karis travel home to Iowa. Pray that the Lord surrounds His loving arms around her as He comforts those who are left behind. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Continued Prayers for Chip Mercer (CCA Dad): Update from his wife, Kristy - Chip has been resting comfortably all day. The doctors are pleased with his blood work, vital signs and physical exams. He couldnt be doing any better after his diagnosis yesterday. So very thankful for all the prayers! No Visitors at this time. The family will let us know when they are ready and are in need of help - our job is to KEEP PRAYING FOR CHIP! God is hearing the heart cries of HIS people!
