For Sale: Custom extended top hats. Up for sale are my custom made extended front top hats. They will fit both 4th and 5th Gen Accords. I had these made 1.5 years ago by a friend of mine. They are extended one inch compared to OEM top hats. My friend has also made a set for Craigers Headers who can vouch for the quality of them. I have used them for the last year and a half without issue.....and they really do make a world of difference compared to stock top hats. Especially if you have coilovers and are lowered over 2in. For those of you that dont understand the function of these......heres the down low. By extending the upper mounting position of the shock, these top hats allow the shock to gain back some compression lost when lowering the car. In this case, you get 1in back. So if your car is dropped 2in, with these it will perform like its only dropped one inch. This is important because shocks perform best in their optimal stroke range....which is basically the closer to stock (or no drop) they are, the better they perform. Plus you greatly reduce the risk of bottoming out the shock with these. Now, on to the details. What you get: extended top hats (pictured), and the top hat bushings (not pictured). You just need the metal sleeve that connects the upper and lower bushings, which you pull off of your stock top hats. Price: $125. Slightly negotiable on price. Free shipping if asking price is met.
