For: Technical Project Manager Ref: VR/01100 Location: Ashford Salary: £30k Position Summary: An excellent opportunity for a well-motivated Technical Project Manager to join a global company, with the opportunities for growth and advancement. The candidate will be part of the Engineering department working alongside an existing team. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of every aspect of project delivery, from initiation through to closure and handover to business as usual. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage multiple projects across a varied subject base. • Be the main conduit for all communication with stakeholders both internal and external throughout the project lifecycle. • Agree project criteria and quality expectations with all stakeholders. • Form, direct and manage a project team. • Define, delegate and direct tasks as required to meet project deadlines. • Risk and issue management (including development of contingency plans where applicable). • Plan, document, define and direct:- o the overall direction/approach and integrity of the project. o technical and quality strategy. o change control and configuration management. • Produce project documentation in accordance with departmental standards. • Monitor and measure project performance providing regular reports to line manager during project lifecycle. • Objectively assess completed projects and provide any lessons learned and follow on recommendations to line manager to promote best practice. • Lead and co-ordinate Project Team meetings and conference calls. • Confidently and professionally represent the company at all times. Knowledge, Qualifications and skills • Previous experience of working within a project environment. • Working knowledge of PRINCE2 or Agile practices. • Competent with all Microsoft Office 2010 applications, including Project and Visio. • Excellent communication skills and ability to chase information. • Flexible attitude with ability to multi-task and perform under pressure. • Ambitious outlook with a desire to progress and take on additional tasks.
