For When I’m Not There. When people look at you and stare......... always remember to keep your smile. But for now.... For now, tell them that youve been here before. Tell them that youre an old soul with a desire to open minds and soften hearts to worlds beyond their own. Tell them that your light shines brightest through adversity. Tell them that by definition you cannot be defined; but the mission is to be accepted and embraced. Show them that love is more than words found in a folded card or a box wrapped in disguise. Tell them that with educated eyes, the best things ever said were never heard. Tell them that a hug does wonders. Or that placing thought to questions always provides the best answers. Tell them that you enjoy seeing the stars in the darkest of night And that you laugh uncontrollably when Violet the stuffed teddy bear calls your name at bedtime. Make them understand that you are far from ever being alone and that you are immersed in the most tenderness of love. Illustrate what it takes to contain courage, to strive everyday for the things that most of us take for granted. Reveal the fact that your tongue of 9 years has never released a string of words. But it hasnt stopped you from speaking. Make them see and understand the person.......and not the person within the chair. Daddy loves you!!
