For a club in the Volta region to succeed in the 1st division league/Premier League, they must posses my FOUR key STRENGTHS. 1.MUST have QUALITY PLAYERS 2. MUST have QUALITY TECHNICAL TEAM. 3. HAVE ADEQUATE FINANCES 4. have PROPER MANAGEMENT STRUCTURES. with these i think we can emulate what is done in the Brong-Ahafo Region pertaining the number of clubs in the 1st and premier league. The problem of Volta region is not a matter of RFA, the regulatory body of football but the citizenry who takes no concern in footballing in the region but criticize unjustly. Hot Steel FC has once again qualified to the 1st division and the future looks blear as they still fighting to achieve just one of my key areas finances. Why cant we create our own type of TRADITIONAL CLUB in this municipality??? The likes of HO MIGHTY EAGLES and HO VORADEP who sends fear and terror through the spine of their opponents all enjoyed the support of the people both financially and physically.Our faith in Hot Steel FC now lays in the bosom of a single man Mr Dickson Akotia a retied Educationist who struggles to keep the day to day running of the club. I believe we can make this team our own and can be proud of it. We take consolation in the fact that we have one club in the Premier League;Kpando Heart of Lions. Question; How have we helped Lions in the PAST as individuals or stakeholders.Lions sustained themselves in the top flight and have made history for being the longest club from Volta in the topmost league having attained 11 years. Lives of Madam Akua Sena Dansua,Clement Kofi Humado,Elvis Afriyie Ankrah all served as Minister of Youth and Sports but not even a donation to kpando hearts of lions. Not even the face-lift of the Ho sports stadium or the Kpando Park. Mr Worlanyo Agra acted as Chief Executive of the National Sports Authority for several years. Until our leaders learn to make sports a number one on their agenda this situation will still be with us,until the well to do in our societies sends a helping hand to high achieving football administrators,until the traditional chiefs also recognize their institution as an agent of development, until the timing fans rally behind their community teams we will always have to get kicked out of any national league system.lets unit and drive football/sports to a higher height in the Volta region.MY TAKE ON THE STATE ON FOOTBALLING IN VOLTA REGION.
