For all of you who wondered why the air ambulance landed close to Asda Orbital in North Swindon today, here is an update from North Swindon Police Many people shopping at the Orbital Retail Park will have noticed a large number of ambulances and police today. This is because there were a number of medical emergencies on the site simultaneously. A woman was hit by a vehicle in the car park, and a man had an epileptic fit near Asda - both will be fine. The air ambulance was also called because a male in his late sixties had a cardiac arrest. Members of the public and a North Swindon PCSO gave emergency CPR at the scene until paramedics arrived. Unfortunately despite everyones very best efforts the patient could not be revived. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go to his family and friends.
