For almost twenty years Ive shared my Dad with many children and grown people as well who claim him as their father. Whenever I hear about how the ghettos in America are hopeless or how peace and food will never come to third world nations I think about my dad holding children while driving a beat down bus through the projects. I think about him trying to connect with every child he can in Haiti and not being able to eat when he comes back to America. I think about my two sisters he brought back from Haiti. He hasnt changed the world but he has done his best to change the world around him. Ive watched him give while most take. Thanks for teaching me and the many other people who call you Dad what is most important, Herbie Rogers. The content of our character, the word of God, and the love we give. This song always makes me think of him.
