For anyone that has missed the updates on Dayna from her amazingly strong family and close friends here is where she is at: The surgery took a lot longer than expected (almost 14hrs) but that was because the surgeons wanted to be thorough, as well as the added removal of her spleen and new tumors that had developed. All of the other procedures were successfully completed with the exception of the Chemo. They stopped almost to the halfway mark because her heart reacted adversely to the treatment. As for right now, she is in the Trauma ICU being closely monitored, and thankfully being kept intubated with respiratory assistance, and asleep for a couple of days. THANK YOU everyone who stood guard for her and her family, lifting them up in prayer all day yesterday. Daynas fight is not over, this is going to be a strenuous recovery, bouncing back from a surgery of this magnitude.
