The excitement is mounting! Stockholm Junior Water Prize state winners from around the country are preparing to arrive in Portland, Oregon this weekend to compete in the 2013 U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize national competition, organized by the Water Environment Federation. During this time, students will meet and mingle with other like-minded participants with one thing in mind...Water. Judges from across the country will interview students regarding their research and choose the U.S. SJWP national grand prize winning project. The U.S. winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship and an all-expense paid trip to Stockholm, Sweden to compete in the SJWP international competition to take place at World Water Week during the first week of September. Two runners-up projects will be awarded $1,000 each. Along with the SJWP prizes, national SJWP sponsor, Xylem Inc., will present one lucky student, or team, with the Bjorn von Euler Innovation in Water award valued at $1000. The Water Environment Federation and Xylem, Inc. would like to congratulate all of the state winners on their accomplishments and wish each and every one of them the best of luck this weekend!
