For everyone up in arms about the Presidents latte salute, the GOP just gave a one finger salute to ALL veterans. WTF do they not understand about the wars theyve funded on the backs of these men and women who only want what was promised them in the CONTRACT they signed at enlistment or commission? This truly pisses me off. There is NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING more infuriating than to have to listen to the moaning and groaning of required cuts needed in the Pentagon, and then have THIS be the result. NO, hows about we quit leaving our damned equipment all over the flipping world, bring it home, decontaminate and ready to lock and load for the next deployment. In-country troops without hot meals, low bidder flak vests, tank tracks that wont stay on, enlisted families on food stamps, moldy base housing, brown water from base taps, VA wait lists for patient appointments, misinformation of GI Bill, post-911 college funding, ZERO effective reintegration into civilian life for PTSD/TBI vets, and the list truly goes on. For those of you who consider these men and women heroes, and do not say a WORD in their defense of their needs, that is the truest disrespect shown our military. Email these slow moving turds in Washington and help get some damned legislation passed for these veterans.
