Paul and I watched 2 movies over the weekend since we were pretty much home bound. Not a childhood movie yet. The first one we rented from Redbox and it was called Prisoners. It had an all star cast... Maria Bello, Hugh Jackman, Terrance Howard, Jake Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis. The story revolves around a kidnapping of two little girls and the father of one of the girls, Hugh, takes the matter of finding the girls into his own hands when he feels like police arent doing their job. Its kind of gruesome in spots... and I thought to myself... I wouldnt want to watch this if I had small children as it would hit too close to home. But the acting was well... as good as the actors... the thing I liked about the story was that all through it you kept thinking you knew who the kidnapper was... and then you would change your mind... you dont find out the identity of the real one until the very end. Good news is that both girls are rescued... and it has an unusual ending which I liked as far as story telling goes. It definitely kept our attention... I would give it 5 whistles out of 6.
