For my SAP Students: CIN (Country India Version) in SAP. Usually Country india version deals with excise duty and education cess, sales tax, withholding taxes, excise registers. Excise duty is levy on a manufacturing product in India and u should know the terminologies in sap for excise duty i.e. B.E.D (Basic Excise Duty), A.E.D (Additional Excise Duty), S.E.D (Special Excise Duty). Usually CIN is not applicable in USA and it is only used in India. The terminologies for sales tax in sap are VAT or LST (Value Added Tax or Local Sales Tax), CST (Central Sales Tax).
