For my folks that wont/cant be at the protests heres things you can do: Put signs in windows, stickers on cars, buttons in our shirt etc expressing your solidarity Talk about the issue to your neighbors, coworkers, homegirls, family. Figure out how you can together get involved with the broader fight against police terror and white supremecy. One of my students compiled a list of bay area groups that i will add to this post later. Talk to your childs school or pta or schoolmates parents. See if there is an interest to organize assemblies for the schools even maybe a solidarity walkout Talk to you church, masjed, mosque, temple to see how your community of believers can discuss police terror and white supremecy and take action Call and email and fax your city councel rep, community policing council, chamber of commerce, mayors office and demand a defunding and demilitarization of your citys police force and a refunding into education, parks&Recs, libraries, arts and job training. Thats all i can think of now...please add more ideas. I think i want to make a handout...
