For my second day of the photo-a-day-for-5-days challenge from Scott Cramer, I decided to post a couple of shots from last Veterans Day. I got the privilege to shoot the annual Veterans Day National Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. My Moms husband Michael Pollitt gave the invocation for the ceremony next to President Obama. He asked me to fly to DC for the ceremony to capture the moment. I was honored that Mike and my Mom invited me to share and witness the experience. Heres a couple shots from the ceremony and also some shots from the night before hand walking through the cemetery. The cemetery is a very photogenic place, endless rows of stark white headstones stacked up against each other. Taking pictures of it was a an amazing experience and also a thought evoking and somber task.
