For several years, the shops at Jln Riang was quite run down and comprise many different trades. Recently, it became a hot area with many good popular eateries. But with it, came a different set of issues - parking woes and impact to residents. Met up with the operators of the eateries and sought their help too and it resulted in their engagement of parking wardens/ valets and also their support to get their patrons to keep the noise level down at the latter hours of the evening. Also, got URA to review and ensure problem was not compounded further with more eateries being set up there henceforth. I am thus glad that URA listened to the concerns of residents and community leaders.
