For some people, buying a car seat for your baby can be an overwhelming part of becoming a new parent. Unfortunately, in Ireland, fitting child car seats is still a significant cause for concern with as many as 3 out of 4 parents fitting car seats incorrectly. And sadly, if a child car seat isn’t fitted correctly, it could lead to a serious or fatal injury if the car was involved in a collision. That is why the RSA is launching a brand new, nationwide, free expert checking service for parents and guardians. The new National ‘Check it Fits’ Roadshow will begin travelling to villages, towns and cities across Ireland over the coming weeks. At each venue, the RSA’s experts will arrive in their specially designed ‘Check it Fits’ van and provide a practical checking service to check your child’s car seat is correctly fitted. To find out when ‘Check it Fits’ will be in your area, or to book the ‘Check it Fits’ van, visit rsa.ie/checkitfits Keep an eye on our page here for more updates! please share with friends NOW #approveddriving
