For something unusual - this is Kevin Metz playing a shamisen bluegrass style. I know about these folk via Kyle Abbott and the Toneway Project. Kyle has his own project for the shamisen and is a leading luthier for this instrument. Kevin lives in Japan as far as I know and is a very good shamisen player in the traditional Japanese style; as is Kyle Abbott. I love it when they do stuff like this - they have so much fun.
