For the Love of Christ Jesus could bring out a sermon in such a way that those with seeking hearts knew that he loved them. Even when he brought strong correction and abrasive words in rebuke against hypocrisy, people sensed the love behind the words as the motivating factor. A true hypocrite will always find fault with the messenger and excuse themselves in the process when confronted with the truth of their hypocrisy. However, if love is what compels a person to bring strong rebuke, that love should be the fiber that threads the message. People who are in the darkness about anything whom are searching for light to bring them clarity respond to love. Remember love is the greatest between the holy trio of faith, hope, and love. Holiness without love is haughtiness, you can have a standard that filled with faith and hope, but if love is not its foundation; it is empty and void of the ingredient that makes it effective. In other words just be right does not make one righteous, it involves so much more. The bible declares that he who says he loves God but does not love his fellow humans, the love of God is not in him. Why? Because God is Love! God chastens the child that he loves, he brings correction because of his love, it is not a pleasant thing, but it is a necessary dynamic in order to bring about the desired results that cause growth and maturity. The bible plainly states that those who will not be chastened are not his, but have become illegitimate and therefore are rejected. That pains the heart of a loving God who has given us principles and precepts to live by, then see us reject them for the pleasures of sin and the flesh. Brethren, there are times that we see our brethren caught up in a fault, the bible teaches; if you see a brother overtaken in a fault or a sin, those who are spiritual restore such a person with a spirit filled with meekness, unless you want to be overtaken by the same fault or sin. Restoration is a process whereby correction is key, but it must be done with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. (21) must keep yourselves safe in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ which will result in the Life of the Ages. (22) Some, when they argue with you, you must endeavor to convince; (23) others you must try to save, as brands plucked from the flames; and on others look with pity mingled with fear, while you hate every trace of their sin. Jude 1:21-23 WNT This is where we get the adage “ Hate the Sin; Love the Sinner “. There is a Day of Judgment coming; God is calling us to a ministry of redemption, reconciliation, and restoration as ministers and brethren in the body of Christ. So many times we come off sounding condemning instead of convincing, because people cannot distinguish our love from the words we hurl at them. If our words are saturated with the love of Christ and we are filled with the Holy Spirit of God by praying in the Holy Ghost our words shall pierce their minds and hit there hearts and have the desired effect of opening their eyes and changing their lives. The love of Christ is miraculous. (16) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; (17) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, (18) May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; (19) And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. (20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (21) Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:16-21 KJV Selah! Shalom & Agape! Kojo Ray………………………
