For the Record so it wont be lost: In the Tommy & Sue Alexander interview by Glen & Elaine Turner, Mr. Alexander mentioned & told about Old Sand Springs. He confirms the location as reported also by Phil Hall, Mid Anderson, Thelma Morrow & others and has been posted before on S&W. It is on the north branch of the Turkey Track Trail. The springs were a common gathering place for prehistory, historic Indians, pioneers, & outlaws. The carvings are buried under years of moss and silt. Mrs. Morrow protected the area from the salvage yard they operated. Hopefully someday the site will be preserved & the carvings recorded. Yaholos gold is not buried there.
