For the first time tonight, I openly told my mother in law that Im seeing someone. She told me that she knew through Facebook..though shes not on Facebook, she learned through the mutual friends & family on here. Then went on to tell me that people have told her that they had no idea that I was like this. I say, what do you mean, like this??...well, you know..crude jokes & language...you know Shawn, someday were all going to face god and... Lemme cut you off right there.. I grew up in a baptist church..every Sunday my dad drove the church bus. My first job was washing dishes at church camp. My brother is currently a naval Chaplin & my sister & her family went on to be missionaries in Kenya & Tanzania. Im no stranger to the church. Im also no stranger to the clicks. The gossiping & rumor mills. These people put my every word under a microscope & then shake my hand on Sundays while wearing their Sundays best. Ive never gotten along with these types..because no matter what you do...in their eyes, youre never good enough. Or when I do try to talk or joke with them...its like trying to plug an iPhone 5C into a Mac computer from 1983...it just isnt compatible. Christians like them.. Drive Christians (or anyone) like me away from the church. Ive said it before & Ill say it again....Im not here to meet your standards or expectations..you can gossip til your blue in the face..but Im pushing forward with or without you on my side. But when I do face god..one of my sins wont be me being fake.
