“For this is the word of promise: “At this time I will come, and Sarah shall have a son.” (Romans 9:9) God is specific in how things are done. Although we may not see at the time how it could possibly work out, yet God does it. This principle is true for us as well. Although we may not see how salvation works out, it is the promise of the Lord that is our assurance, not our ability to comprehend how God does it. Therefore, rest in the promises of the Lord, knowing that He is more than able to accomplish what He has promised. In this age, Lord, there are many who pontificate and think that because they are unable to fathom how You could possibly do this or that, that these things must not be true. Help me to realize the simple fact that You are God, and You are able to do what You purpose. In that truth, help me learn to understand what Your Word promises and to live by those promises. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the many promises You have given to those who believe. Help me today to share simply the promises You give, knowing that You have already accomplished the promised salvation for all who believe. In the assurance of salvation that You give, help me to live boldly today, knowing that You will accomplish all that You purpose for the Father’s glory. Amen.
