For those, (and there are MANY) that think you are more ethical, less abusive, more legitimate, more honest, more transparent, and better equipped to handle a Pit Bull and or ANY other dog, cat or animal because they are a 501. You are sorely mistaken. And VERY misinformed. Please Google 501(c)(3) (a tax exemption status) and tell me where you find the part about the ethical treatment or animals. A rescue should be judged solely on its treatment of the animals in their program. Past, present, and future. Transparency of funding/donations/medical updates etc....... Testimonials from real adopters, and or clients in my case because Im a trainer as well. There is some crazy ass serious crooked shit going on these days in our community. And its right under your noses. Only the animals suffer. Please do your research folks before handing a dog over. I am privy to so much because of what I do. Its scares me to think about what I dont know. Dogs in rescue like to secretly disappear. If you donate to a particular dog and or rescue. You have EVERY right to be able to follow that dog right up to and including its adoption photo (which I know of one rescue that was actually setting those up) Wasnt very smart of them to have used the same background over and over again. :-) People text, call, email, and PM me all day long asking me if so and so is good or not. If I havent worked with them or for them, I dont know. Anyone I have aligned myself with in rescue or training, past or present is for the betterment of animals. Period. My ethics and morals are in tact. Thats how I sleep at night. Apologies in advance to all the legit 501s. Im sorry theres so many indignant money hungry assholes putting animals in danger and hiding behind their corporate veil. Rant over
