For those making excuses for Kayla and my attacker saying hes mentally ill and an addict - you are part of the problem. The fact that a man with 56 prior arrests, 34 convictions and a history of violent behavior walks our streets and has not received the proper treatment doesnt alarm you, that he can hurt someone at any moment doesnt concern you - makes you more of a problem than this man. The system has failed him and as a result has failed our community. Get some courage and stand up. If I can use my platform to help and protect members of our neighborhood and community, Ill do that while you moan and groan about one man w/ a mental illness. By the way, how many men with mental illnesses have committed heinous acts including shooting kids at schools, patrons at movie theaters and malls, and Sikhs and Jews in their religious institutions? Oh yeah, about those. SMH.
