For those of you wondering how I was introduced to Young Living, - TopicsExpress

For those of you wondering how I was introduced to Young Living, here is MY story….back in September of last year, I had decided that I was tired of going to the doctor only to be placed on yet another medication and was searching for information about essential oils. I thought the idea of a natural, no side effect, no chemical approach was something for me. I looked on the internet for information and got so confused with all the claims of “being the best”. So basically I logged off and resigned myself to the fact that I didn’t know enough about the oils to make a good choice yet. Meanwhile in Nevada, Iowa IT JUST SO HAPPENED my daughter had posted a question on a Facebook group page that she regularly read but had never posted in. Her neighbor JUST SO HAPPENED to be online and read the post. Later that week she told my daughter that she would be attending a Young Living Essential Oils class that following Thursday if she would like to go. It JUST SO HAPPENED I was going to be visiting that day! (I live 2 hours away) Awesome! So we both went to this class along with about 30 others!! We were fortunate (although we didn’t know it at the time) to have the presenters be Sonya Swan, a now YL Diamond and Skyla Mann, a now YL Platinum!!! I can honestly say my daughter and I enjoyed every single minute of this class. We were blown away at the knowledge these ladies had of the oils and how powerful they could be! We got to smell, taste, and apply the oils. We learned some pretty common sense information that, before, we had never really thought about. We both left that basement feeling “different”. We were mentally, physically, and spiritually at ease. Does that make sense? We were just “calm”. I believe I was meant to be at that meeting. I KNOW God played a part in bringing me to Young Living. There really is no other explanation. So we both enrolled and got our kits before the month’s end. Within the first month I had started (with my doctor’s permission) to wean myself off of the 12 pills a day I was ingesting. By the end of the second month I had decreased my diet soda intake from 5-6 cans a day (yes, A DAY) to 1 a day! By the third month I switched from diet to regular. Reducing the soda wasn’t hard at all!! Did you know that some of the ingredients in depression meds cause you to crave the artificial sweetener in those diet drinks? I didn’t either until my doctor told me so! By the end of the fourth month I was only taking ONE prescription pill a day! AmAzInG! My prescriptions were for depression, anxiety (sleep), hot flashes, plantar fasciitis and a few others. Since then I have slowly rid my cupboards from household toxic cleaners by using the Thieves cleaner and making homemade laundry soaps and bug sprays etc. with the oils. It feels good to know I’m not inhaling, ingesting, or applying those toxins!!! I once heard a quote that resonated with me. It went something like this: when you learn something of value, and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it. So there you have it, Im sharing so that YOU can benefit as well!
