For those that were watching Susan DeCluettes post helping her friend Amburley Carlos with support and advice late at night when her pet was in need.... Amburley has taken her little min pin to a vet clinic and it is doing well. :) I deleted the original post because what started out as helpful tips and information ended up being a negative series of comments bashing a particular clinic. There were earlier posts with slams that werent as abrasive or personal and honestly those should have been deleted early on as well. As Admins, we try to let the page govern itself for the most part as we are all volunteers and cannot sit here and watch the page constantly to prevent outbreaks. It saddens me that I cant step away for a cup of coffee without worrying that I will log in and see fingers pointing and hurtful statements about a clinic, a shelter, a rescue or another person. That is not what we are here to do. As was said on the post by one of the members, this is a group of people who want to help those in need find lost animals, care for their animals and be a positive support. We should all resist the urge to post anything negative. If you have facts or strong opinions about something along the topic lines then please send them to each other as a private message or pick up the phone and call them directly. We all have our opinions, our reasons for feeling the way we do and when it comes to something you care about (on this page its animals) ... our emotions tend to run high & get more easily out of control. It doesn’t take long for a helpful discussion to turn into a hateful exchange if we don’t guard against it. Our page has grown in leaps and bounds (over 2,100 members now!) and that is a great networking tool! But with that comes many people/emotions and it becomes more difficult to keep it drama free. In order to be able to continue to have the supportive, helpful interaction that weve tried to maintain on here; we will all have to make a concentrated effort to keep the peace. Thank you for being members and having the desire to help others.
