For those who didnt know, I left a nightmare of a job working for a bunch of shit heads two weeks ago. I had worked for the company for over 8 years and started an account from $0 annually and grew that account to over $12,000,000 a year. Never did i get a raise or promotion for this. Despite this, things were ok until company realignment about 2 years ago. I was placed into an existing branch of the company that was separate from the one that i started in with inexperienced management, that had no history with the customer and would not bend easily to their requests. Everyday was a battle with me, who was customer focused, and management, who was self focused. From a team of 6 i was the 3rd to leave. The others are too new to see the writing on the wall. When i turned in my resignation and walked out of the building for the final time, I thought that i had found the perfect bohemian life. I had a full two weeks where i was between jobs, I enjoyed free time with friends, family, rode bikes, and got projects done. It was great! But I started a new career Monday working for a company and manager that seems to give a crap about me and my family and the money that i make. This new job has me excited to get out of bed again, instead of dread the inevitable interactions with the ass hole dip-shit managers I used to work for. Yes, the freeloader lifestyle will have to wait a few more decades until i can take advantage of it, but i did enjoy it while it lasted. I am excited to make some sales calls tomorrow representing my new company, meeting new people and pushing the negativity of my previous employer further behind me with every step i take.
